I have been involved in the dog world for over a decade.  I have worked as a veterinary technician since 1995.  I got my start in dachshunds in 1999 when I attended my first field trial.  I was hooked!  Not long after, I started showing standard longhairs.  Since then, I have had the pleasure to show and finish several dogs.  In 2008, I finished my first Bred By Champion, a standard wire hair bitch named Layla.  In addition to dachshunds, I also compete in Agility with my Rat Terrier, Sophie, and I show my Alaskan Malamute, Kina.  We are planning on adding another Mal sometime in 2010-2011.

I am President of Wolverine Dachshund Club in Michigan and I am on the Board of Directors for the Hoosier Dachshund Club in Indiana.  In addition, I am a certified groomer specializing in show coats, including hand stripping.

We were all new to the sport of purebred dogs at one time, and I am always willing to help anyone who has questions about Dachshunds, field trials, dog shows, earthdog, Malamutes, grooming, or anything dog related.  Feel free to contact me at any time!
